Dermatology Essentials for Medical Assistants is a four-hour course that teaches the basics of dermatology for medical staff. Starting with basic terminology, then moving through clinic flow and procedures, each student will earn a certificate upon successful completion. This certificate meets Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services E-Prescribing requirements for medical assistants.

The Dermatology Essentials for Medical Assistants on-line course is interactive, contains videos, photos, and has more content than the book. It is not designed to be comprehensive training, as specific processes will vary from office to office, but rather provide a foundation on which to build.
